Grade Calculator — Weighted Scores & Final Grade

Compute your final grade from scores and weights. Enter each score (0–100) and its weight (%) — for quizzes, exams and assignments in one subject.

%

Calculate your grade

Scores × weights, one subject

ComponentScore %Weight %

Score is 0–100. Weight is the share of this component in your final grade (for example, exam 50%).

How it works

Your final grade is the weighted average of your scores: each score is multiplied by its weight, the results are added, and the total is divided by the total weight.

Final grade = Σ(Score × Weight) ÷ Total Weight

Example: quizzes 85% (weight 30), midterm 80% (weight 30), final exam 90% (weight 40) → (85×30 + 80×30 + 90×40) ÷ 100 = 85.5%.

For your whole semester across subjects, use the GWA Calculator instead — it weights by units, not by percentages. And if you need the Philippine grade for a percentage, check the Grade Equivalents table.

Frequently asked questions

A grade calculator computes your weighted grade from scores and their weights — for example, quizzes 30%, exams 50% and assignments 20%. Enter each score and its weight to see your final grade.

The GWA calculator uses Philippine grades (1.00–5.00) and subject units. This grade calculator uses percentage scores (0–100) and weights — for computing a single subject's final grade from its components.

A GPA calculator averages grades on a 4.00 scale, common in the US. In the Philippines, the equivalent is the GWA calculator (1.00–5.00 scale). Use the GWA to GPA converter if you need a 4.00-scale number.

They should, for a final grade — the weights are the share of each component in your final mark. If your weights add up to less than 100%, the result is the weighted average of what you entered, and the tool shows your total weight so you can check it.

Usually 75% (grade 3.00) is the passing mark in Philippine colleges. Below that is usually a failing grade.
